Drone flight permits, coordinated from start to finish

You tell us where and how you want to fly, and we tell you what affects that exact point: UAS geographical zones, NOTAMs, protected areas, infrastructure… Then we coordinate with every authority so you fly within the regulations.

What we check before your flight

Whether your drone can fly somewhere doesn't depend on a map alone. For each operation we cross-check these factors:

  • UAS geographical zones. Controlled airspace, aerodrome and heliport surroundings, restricted or prohibited zones, protected natural areas, critical infrastructure and urban areas, according to official ENAIRE Drones information.
  • Active NOTAMs. Temporary restrictions published for the date and time of your flight.
  • Category and subcategory. What your drone is allowed to do according to its class mark and weight, and the certificates the pilot needs.
  • The limits of your operation. Height, flight within visual line of sight (VLOS) or beyond it (BVLOS) and the presence of people not involved in the operation.
  • Other authorisations. Permits from the town council, the protected area manager or the landowner, when needed.

Who we coordinate with

Depending on the point and the type of operation, coordination may involve one or more authorities. We handle all of them:

  • ENAIRE, to fly in controlled airspace, through its Planea platform. If a safety study is needed, we prepare it: see our EARO and ATS coordination service.
  • Airport operators, around airports, aerodromes and heliports.
  • The Ministry of the Interior, which must be notified of operations in urban areas or over gatherings of people at least five calendar days in advance (Royal Decree 517/2024).
  • CECAF (the Cartographic and Photographic Centre of the Spanish Air and Space Force), to take photos or video in zones restricted for aerial photography.
  • Town councils and protected area managers, when the operation requires it.

How we work

  1. You tell us about the operation. Location, aircraft, height, date and type of work. A point on the map is enough to get started.
  2. Diagnosis within 24 hours. You know what affects your flight, which category it fits and what needs to be coordinated.
  3. We coordinate for you. We prepare the documentation, file the applications and notifications and follow up every case.
  4. Fly with peace of mind. You receive the authorisations and conditions for your operation, with a pre-flight checklist ready for any inspection.

If your operation needs an aeronautical study (EARO, SORA, PDRA or STS), we tell you in the diagnosis. In the open category, coordination is often enough: you don't pay for studies you don't need.

Check it yourself first, for free. Our analyser checks ENAIRE Drones' UAS geographical zones in real time for any point in Spain. It is a first indication: we give you the full diagnosis.

How much it costs

  • Feasibility analysisfrom €75
  • Managing a coordination or permitfrom €195
  • Complex coordinationfrom €295

If you fly often, the plans include operations every month, from €129/month. Authorities' deadlines are always respected; ours is the fastest possible within the regulations.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about flight permits

Do I need a permit to fly a drone?

It depends on the point and the operation. In many areas you can fly in the open category without prior authorisation, but if the point is in a UAS geographical zone (controlled airspace, near an aerodrome, an urban area, a protected natural area…) the operation must be coordinated or notified before flying. In the diagnosis we tell you exactly what is needed.

Can I fly a drone in a city?

Yes, if your drone and subcategory allow it and the conditions of the zone are met. Urban areas are a UAS geographical zone, and Royal Decree 517/2024 requires the operation to be notified to the Ministry of the Interior at least five calendar days in advance. You also need to check whether the point is in controlled airspace or near a heliport. We check it and send the notification for you.

Can I film with a drone near a military zone?

In zones restricted for aerial photography (ZRVF), taking photos or video requires a prior application to CECAF, the Cartographic and Photographic Centre of the Spanish Air and Space Force. If your point is in one of these zones, we detect it in the diagnosis and file the application.

Do you coordinate drone flights outside Spain?

Yes. We coordinate flights in other European Union countries (cross-border operations under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2019/947) and in countries outside the EU: we identify the competent authority and the requirements, and handle the permits.
